John and Lori Craviotto, a husband-wife chiropractic team, are co-owners of Craviotto Family Chiropractic in Santa Barbara, California. They established the Santa Barbara office in 1987 and base their patient care philosophies on sound chiropractic diagnosis and technique, quality patient care, and treating the whole patient rather than the individual condition.
John Craviotto, a sixth generation Santa Barbaran attended Santa Barbara area schools and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from California Lutheran College in 1980, Following graduation he attended Western States Chiropractic College from which he graduated in 1985. Along with Lori he established Craviotto Family Chiropractic in Santa Barbara in 1987. Having played both football and baseball in college, John has a strong interest in sports medicine. He has also completed postgraduate courses in disability evaluation and industrial worksite analysis and ergonomics. John primary utilizes traditional chiropractic adjustments but is proficient in many other techniques in order to customize the treatment plan to the individual patient. Most treatment also involves soft tissue massage and physical therapy modalities such as electrical muscle stimulation and ultrasound in order to enhance the healing process. John is available by appointment in Santa Barbara Mondays - Friday.
Lori Craviotto grew up in Huntington Beach, California and received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 1979. She taught junior high and high school science in Virginia City, Nevada before entering chiropractic college. She graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon in 1986. Along with John she established Craviotto Family Chiropractic in Santa Barbara, California in 1987. Following a move to the Santa Ynez Valley and the birth of their third child, Lori established Buellton Family Chiropractic in 1996. Dr. Lori is currently taking a sabbatical from Chiropractic and attending to her families ranching business in Moorpark, CA. Lori has strong interests in family care, women's health, and nutrition. She utilizes traditional chiropractic methods as well as nutritional counseling. Lori has completed coursework in Craniosacral Therapy including Craniosacral 1, Craniosacral 2, and Somato-Emotional Release making her eligible for certification. Lori is available by appointment in Buellton on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. John and Lori have three children – Kristin, Michael, and Brianna.
