Foundation for Total Health
Chiropractic care addresses many common reasons why people experience pain and other health issues. If something is not right with your body's foundation (spine and skeletal structure), then that problem needs to be addressed before true health can be achieved. With chiropractic care, your body has to go through a particular plan of care in order to repair itself correctly and fully. There are three general phases of chiropractic care.
The first phase objective is to help you reduce pain as soon as possible. Depending on the severity of the condition causing your pain, it is typical for a patient to need chiropractic care or adjustments 2-3 times per week until the pain is relieved.
The second phase of chiropractic care is to correct and restore health by allowing muscles and other tissues to heal more completely, which helps prevent further injury and pain. The goal is to bring your body back to 100% functioning. It is typical to need chiropractic care or adjustment about 2-4 times per month for 1-3 months, depending on you overall health and the severity of your problem.
The third phase is wellness care in order to maintain spinal health. Even after your body has fully healed and the pain is gone, it is important to have periodic chiropractic adjustments to avoid further problems in the future. This phase usually requires a quick visit to the chiropractor 1-2 times per month based on your particular need.
